We completed a recent renovation in Yarralumla! Utilising an established tree we created a shaded garden play area. Steppers, log and upright log seats were scattered through to encourage exploration and aid in children’s balance skills.
We put to good use the existing slope in the yard with a new active play area. We formed a timber ramp with wooden hand holds and a rope climb up the slope. In addition to refreshing the synthetic turf, we humbly fulfilled the centre’s request for a looped bike track. Using mixed surfaces to increase interest and an arched bridge linking over the new garden bed. You can see from the photos how well this renovation fit into the existing centre, enhancing the quality of play by increasing the natural materials and play features.
